For the Claustrophobic:

If every time you step into an elevator, a small room, or an enclosed space you tense up and start to panic, you are most likely a claustrophobic. Because of this, you may think that you are unable to participate in an escape room with your family. I am here to tell you that this is not the case. I have a close family member who is very claustrophobic, she won’t even take an elevator unless it’s more than 15 floors she would have to walk up. I told her some facts about escape room that put her mind at ease when it comes to escape rooms.

  1. You aren’t actually trapped. If at any time you feel like you are unable to continue with the game, there is an emergency exit that you can use whenever you need to.
  2. The room is actually spacious. There’s often times two rooms (often a hidden room that opens up once you discover a certain clue).
  3. You’ll forget your “trapped”. You’ll be so distracted and having a fun time trying to solve the game that you won’t notice that you’re in an enclosed space.

Give it a try. See if you can overcome your fears and solve the game. We believe you can! You don’t want to miss out on this new and innovative way to spend time with your family.
