‘Escape for Funds’ Fundraiser Terms

Who Can Participate

Escape for Funds fundraisers are available to schools and nonprofit organizations located within 40 miles of Tick Tock Escape Room (6398 College Blvd, Overland Park, KS 66211). To make the fundraiser worthwhile for everyone, your organization should be able to reach an audience of at least 25 families.

A single school may have multiple groups fundraising (for example, a booster club and a PTO) — each group receives its own unique code.

What Your Organization Earns

Your organization earns 20% of the pre-tax booking total for every qualified booking made with your fundraiser code.

For example: if a family books a game for $150 (before tax), your organization earns $30 from that single booking. Twenty families booking similar games would raise about $600.

Anyone may use your code — families, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and community members. The more people you share it with, the more you raise.

Bookings made with your code are charged our regular published rates — the fundraiser code directs a portion of the booking to your organization and does not change the customer’s price.

How a Booking Qualifies

For a booking to count toward your fundraiser, all of the following must be true:

  1. The booking uses your fundraiser code, entered in the promotion code field during the online booking process. No other promotion codes or discounts may be combined with a fundraiser code.
  2. The booking is made and fully paid by 11:59 PM Central Time on your fundraiser’s end date. (The game itself does not need to be played by then — see below.)
  3. The code appears on the booking confirmation. After booking, customers receive a confirmation email. If the fundraiser code isn’t listed on it (and no other discount was applied), call us right away at 913-396-9144, and we’ll add it. Codes must be added before the booking window ends and before the game is played.

Good news about scheduling: the actual game date does not need to fall within your fundraiser window. Customers may book any available time on our online calendar — usually up to 4 months out. A family can support your fundraiser in October and play their game in January.

Rescheduled games still count. All bookings are subject to our standard no-refund policy, and games may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice. A qualified booking that is later rescheduled still counts toward your fundraiser.

What doesn’t qualify: bookings paid with discount codes do not qualify, as no extra promo code can be applied. Bookings paid with Tick Tock gift passes do not qualify. We reserve the right to disqualify bookings made fraudulently or in violation of these terms.

Sharing Your Code

Share your code anywhere your community will see it — emails, newsletters, social media, flyers, announcements at games and events. We’ll provide ready-to-use marketing materials to make this easy.

One restriction: fundraiser codes may not be posted to coupon or deal-aggregation websites (such as RetailMeNot or similar). Bookings traced to these sites will not qualify. This protects the integrity of your fundraiser.

Your Fundraiser Window

A standard fundraiser window runs 4–6 weeks, with exact dates set when your fundraiser is scheduled. Coordinators may request an extension by mutual agreement with Tick Tock — extra time can help you reach your goal, but note that it also delays your payout, since payment is issued after the window closes.

Tracking & Getting Paid

We track every qualified booking for you — there’s nothing for your organization to collect, count, or handle.

  • During your fundraiser: contact us anytime for a current booking count.
  • After your window ends: your payout is ready 3 business days after your fundraiser’s end date.
  • Payment: we issue a check payable to the official organization name provided on your signup form. Your coordinator may pick it up at Tick Tock, or we can make arrangements to mail it to you, if requested.
  • Your organization is responsible for its own tax treatment of funds received. We may request a completed W-9 before issuing payment.

The Fine Print

Tick Tock Adventures, LLC reserves the right to modify these terms or discontinue the Escape for Funds program for future fundraisers. Changes will not affect fundraisers already in progress. All bookings remain subject to our standard Terms of Use.
